When The World Ends is a young adult animated series that tells the story of Mohamed, a young twenty something year old who gets a job at The Movie Buster. A video rental store located in outer space just on the outskirts of Earth. Film and movie entertainment is an art only known on Earth and as such creatures from all over the galaxy come to The Movie Buster to experience Earthling entertainment first hand. As the first human to work at the Movie Buster Moe has an idea: To be the first human ever to make a movie staring real aliens! Caught in the chaos of dealing with strange life forms and planetary travels Mohamed finds that his normal slacker life will never be the same! Unlike you’re favorite movie life has no rewind button you can only hit play and go along for the sci-fi ride!
Main Characters
Mohamed or Moe to his friends is a slacker and devoted movie lover. He gets a job as the first human working at the Movie Buster. His adventures take him all over the galaxies visiting strange new worlds and meeting creatures of all kinds. Though honestly he’d rather be vegging out in front of the television.
Effie learned everything she knows about earthling culture from her love of films. She loves talking film and movie trivia with Moe. She is assigned to train Moe for his job and is also enlisted as his alien translator as they traverse to foreign worlds.
Rinheart is Effie’s best friend. She works at the Movie Buster as Assistant Manager. As the more responsible of the trio she is constantly keeping Moe and Effie on task at work or saving them from their ridiculous adventures.
